When you register for or use the Bertram Fiber Bid Portal, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Company name
  • Contact name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • IP address and device information
  • Bid activity, including bids submitted, modified, or withdrawn
  • Login history and session activity

We collect this information directly from you during registration and through your use of the platform.


Section 2
How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To operate, administer, and secure the auction platform
  • To review and process contractor access applications
  • To communicate with you regarding your application, account status, active auctions, and award decisions
  • To maintain records required by the BEAD federal grant program and any applicable federal or state regulations
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity

Data Retention

Records collected through this platform are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years in compliance with federal grant requirements applicable to the BEAD program. Records may be retained longer if required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • As required by applicable federal or state law
  • As required to satisfy BEAD program compliance, reporting, or audit obligations
  • In response to a valid legal process, subpoena, or court order
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Bertram Communications, its users, or the public

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to the platform is restricted to approved contractors using authenticated accounts.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Your Rights

Contractors may request correction of inaccurate information held about them by contacting Bertram Communications. Requests will be reviewed and responded to in a reasonable timeframe. Note that certain records may not be modifiable due to federal grant recordkeeping obligations.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
